We had a wonderful summer together! In June, Kim and Rachel finshed up school and then spent the rest of the summer at home. In July we went camping for a week in northern Minnesota (Bemidji), and thoroughly enjoyed doing a bunch of nothing! Although we did visit the headwaters of the mighty Mississippi River and a science museum and a Fourth of July celebration.
Then, upon our return, we spent a lot of time working on the new church together. It was wonderful having so much time to devote to our true passion together! The early fall was rocky, as usual, as we got used to Kim and Rachel's new school schedules. And then a few weeks ago we learned that my 29-year-old nephew had died. You can read more about that on my blog. (www.bornoftheword.blogspot.com)
All in all, Kim and I are doing well. In just a few weeks we'll celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and we're still head-over-heals in love with each other! We are growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ together, and we're so thankful for the spiritual partnership that the Lord has given us!
Hey this is Rachel! Here's what's been happening with me lately. I went to a retreat last weekend and saw my good buddy Caroline and a few other friends too. I had a lot of fun but also hurt my foot doing a challenge thing by scaling an 8 foot wall. We had to be basically 'tossed up' to hands above then pulled over the top. I just scratched myself a bit and banged it up a bit. I also tried my first mocha!! (woot woot!!) ((All I put in it was half hot chocolate, 1/4 decaf coffee, 1 non-dairy creamer, and 2 hazelnut creamers)) Oh yeah! Me and Caroline decided we want to start our own coffee shop and Caleb Hagen might join us with his marsh-mellow taffy!! Hehe long story. We had a LOT of fun. Anyway, duh Wubster rocks duh house ya'll!!!! LOL ttyl.
Dere ya go!!! Love ya!!!
